Sail Away

In 1997 Ariel was completely refit.  She was virtually gutted and all that remains original are her masts, booms and hull.   Her strength begins at her keel to the carbon fiber beams below her salon, all new Norseman rigging eyes, to her stately double masts which are stepped on the keel.  To keep her classic look much of the original teak remains and has been kept well varnished throughout the years.  All systems have been replaced from the engine and generator to the complete plumbing and re wiring. A new Paneltronic electric panel was installed in the crew cabin.

Ariel backs to port and turns in virtually her own space.
